Plastic-free Kandos was the child of Plastic-free Biennale (2020 Biennale of Sydney). If people could question their plastic consumption in a big city, why not in a rural town? Williams and Ihlein teamed up with performance artist Juundaal Strang-Yettica (appearing as Sister Glitter Nullius) and plastic-waste artist extraordinaire Rox de Luca, to bring plastic in all its manifestations to Wayout Gallery in Kandos. The project also involved community workshops and a lively collaboration with Kandos Ukulele Group for the opening event. Thanks to Alex Wisser for some of the photo documentation.
